Internal Carpentry & Bars

Internal Carpentry & Bars

Internal carpentry can include anything from fitted wardrobes, to hanging internal doors and fitting skirting boards. Fitted wardrobes come with many benefits compared to ones that are shop bought. You can easily convert an awkward space in your room to a practical and stylish wardrobe or storage unit. As they are custom made, you can have shelving and hanging rails exactly where you want them. The units can be made out of a range of different materials including anything from MDF to hardwood. We don’t stop at wardrobes and storage units, we also build custom TV Units which are ideal for storing DVDs and hiding gadgets such as Blu-ray players and Sky or Virgin boxes. Please visit our gallery page to view wardrobes, storage and TV units completed by LJ Carpentry & Building Ltd.

LJ Carpentry & Building Ltd can help you source a wide range of different materials for internal flooring including: solid wood flooring; engineered flooring; laminate and vinyl flooring. We can provide samples and advice, and are used to answering commonly asked questions such as, which flooring would suit your underfloor heating system, and which flooring would best suit my bathroom where there’s risk of water. LJ Carpentry & Building Ltd can help you make the decisions and will provide you with a cost to supply and fit the materials.

If you are looking to modernise your home by upgrading the internal or external doors, then we offer a service which includes showing you a range of doors from different suppliers, ordering and acquiring the doors of your choice, and finally, fitting them. We would initially book a meeting to go through which doors you would like and measure what door sizes are needed, then provide a quotation which includes the supply and the fitting of the doors in one price. We can also take the old doors away if this is something that you would require.

LJ Carpentry & Building are experienced in designing and building oak bar tops and bars. We build the bar tops from planed timber planks that are glued and dowelled together. A common material for a bar top would be oak, due to it’s stunning appearance when vanished, but we can use any material you desire for your project. We then sand and mitre the bar tops to a very high standard and finish with a heavy duty varnish.

The bar tops we create have been used in bars and pubs and have been made to last the test of time, and beer!

When building the underbar and bar surround, we can use a combination of softwood sheets and timbers (if it’s being painted), or hardwood timbers (if its not) that can be fitted in a way that either gives a traditional or contemporary look.

We can give an itemised quotation for the work involved and offer advise on any queriers you may have about the project. We also can design and build the bar in our workshop to minimise time and disruption on site.
